i think it depends on the item, but for cotton shirts, and pants i think its just about right

Gap & Gymboree are my two favorite stores b/c the clothes last longer both b/c of quality & running bigger.
My 15 month old is 30 lbs & tall. He can wear 12-18 months in only those two stores. We're pushing it, though. Pants, he is pretty much 18+.
