Sorry it took so long to get this on here but its been CRAZY!!!!
On June 27th at 4am i was sleeping and i felt like i was dripping pee. I got up and went to the bathroom and then went back to bed. I assumed it was another wonderful pregnancy thing and thought nothing of it. However i did send my stepmom a text message not to alarm her but to let her know ( cuz this happened 2 weeks prior). Well i fell back asleep until 6:30am when my stepmom called and woke me up. She told me to call my doc and just aware them that im leaking some kind of fluid whether its urine or amniotic fluids. I got out of bed and i started walking and i told her " No i havnt leaked anything since 4am... NEVER MIND ITS COMING DOWN MY LEG!" She told me to call a ambulance because its my water ready to break. I told her i didnt want or need a ambulance and i would just go to the hospital on my own. Anyways... i drove to her house picked her up and I drove us to the hospital. When i got there they tested the fluid and it came back neg. twice for amniotic fluid. I was like UMMMM that cant be. Finally they did an exam. As soon as the midwife looked down below she said okay no need for an exam your having this baby today or tomorrow it is your amniotic fluid. I started crying hysterically because i was only 36weeks and i didnt feel that he was ready. After an hour they moved me to my own room.
I tested positive for GBS so they started the antibiotic ASAP. Finally they came back in and said because i have GBS they need to start pitocin to induce me because i shouldnt be in labor for too long with GBS.
My contractions got to the point where i couldnt stand it anymore and they gave me a shot of something and it made my eyes roll into the back of my head. When i woke up the contractions started again and finally they came in for my epidural. I was a different person after that! About 2 hours later 8-10 doctors rushed in flipping me on my side and putting oxygen on me. I was nervous because NOBODY WAS SAYING ANYTHING TO ME! They just kept yelling " MOVE MOVE MOVE" finally they told me that they had lost the heart beat and needed to stick a monitor in his head. So fine... they did that. Then the contractions were not picking up on the monitor so they have to put something on my uterus to pick those up.
Everything was great.
At 11:41pm the doctor came in to check me and i was 7cm and then he left.
At 11:46 i started SCREAMING that i needed to push. The nurse came in my room and she said the doctor said there is no way i went from 7 to 10cm in 5 mins. and try to "blow off" the pushing feeling. I said okay I FUCKING CANT! She came over and checked me and said " OH MY GOD" and ran to the hallway and told him i was in fact 10cm and i am pushing with or without him in there. Next thing i know he comes flying in the room dressing in a scrub ( as he was running in mind you) . He double checked me and was SHOCKED
started pushing at 11:46pm on June 27th and my son was born at 12:06am June 28th
5lbs 13.4oz 19in
The doctor gave me the award for best pushing that night. I popped him out in 20mins! He was shocked because its my first and he was early he said normally that should take approx. 2hours.
Lucky me.
