We turned off her life support today

My sister Laura had a massive heart attack last Thursday morning. Her 14yr old son came down stairs to get ready for school and found her dead. He called 911 while his dad did CPR and after shocking her around 15 times they managed to get her on life support. They packed her in ice to lower her core temp for a few days. They slowly warmed her up to normal body temp and did all kinds of tests (the cold is supposed to help with brain preservation I think). She was declared brain dead by 3 doctors yesterday so we had to make the decision to let her go. She had a temp of 109 last nite and started seizing   Her children spent the nite with her and at 3:17 today we turned off the machines.
My sister was only 46 years old. I never imagined at 31 years old I would already have to say goodbye to my sis. Her kids are 14, 16, 18, and 22. I just can't believe shes gone.....it's not fair.

Oh I am so sorry   I cant imagine. I dont even know what to say.....My dad had 15 heart attacks and we have no idea how he is still around in all honesty...I am so sorry.

that is really sad. I'm sorry you lost your sister. But I think you made the right choice.
