No, I haven't had a miscarriage before. This is actually only the 2nd time I have been pregnant. My progesterne levels are 14 where as they want them to be 20, all my other levels are on target. I get my 2nd us monday.

Hmm, that's interesting. The placenta supports a pregnany, but in the first trimester when there is no placenta, the pregnancy is supported by progesterone made by the mother. Low progesterone levels can be a cause of miscarriage in women who repeatedly have them. Maybe you just got lucky and they noticed your levels were low while they were checking for something else. That's good =)

I don't know....I haven't actually gotten to see my OB yet. After I had my son, one of my levels was low and they did blood tests at 6wks post-partum and also then again at my next annual. Maybe that was the low level?   But thanks for the information, I honestly didn't know the progesterne levels had anything to do with miscarriages.

I was on progesterone with the twins to prevent preterm labour, it helps calm 'uterine activity' as they decidedi had an irritable uterus and with DD likely to pass away i happily took it thinking that it would help keep DS1 in for longer.I thought prog shots and pessaries were standard treatment for preterm issues...i guess anything goes with my shitty prenatal experiences though lol.

I didn't get anything with the last pregnancy but i did have my progesterone levels checked early on and they were extremely high this time - i could guess that that is why we went full term? but then i did have that bout of labour at 19 weeks so who knows?!

No you're right. The pills given in early pregnancy and the shots given in later pregnancy are different though, and treat different things =)

How are you my dear? How's LO?

Ah ok,well i had both with them and i guess they worked as we lasted a lot longer than they said i would.

How sweet is your avi!!

I'm starting to get some sleep now! Infact it's my boobs waking me up at night and not the baby lol. He goes much longer without eating so i get engorged and wake up soaking the bed   Stupid bewbies   It really reminds me of when i had to pump every 3 hours for NICU. It's had me sheding a few tears and i just can't believe it was 2 years ago.

I had him in cloth yesterday, they weren't quite so hugeee this time - i think it must have been that fleece wrap that made it SO bulky.
