re: any premie moms getting the h1n1 shot for their baby?

we gotthe call for high risk ppl and leikyn will be getting it. i have been debating it but after talking to are nicu grads we decided to get it.

The vaccine is not a live virus, but the mist is. So you have to meet a criteria to get a mist. They will not give the nasal mist if you have any immune problem, asthma, or anything like that. I personally am getting it. I have kidney disease and only 1 kidney so I am very high risk.

To get the mist you also have to be over the age of 2.

Today is the first day to go and get the shot where I live. I'm a CNA and my daughter a preemie. I have no idea of what to do. I've talked to the nurses at work and my mom even talked to our neighbor (who's husbands a doc) and shes known her forever. She said that I should get it for her. I talked to my hushband about it and he doesn't really want to get it for her becuase of it being so new... I don't know what to do...
