BF'ing with a cold

I came down with a cold yesterday and my throat is killing me. Is it safe for me to use lozenges? I've got some Strepsils here but there are no warnings on it for nursing mothers. If I can't take those, could I take Halls or are they pretty much the same thing?

I think you can take Halls. I mean, I don't see why not.

I know you're not supposed to drink caffine while BFing..or while pregnant for that matter Lol I suck at life, but a can Coke helps my sore throat..

OH, and on my pregnancy paper it says I can take Halls..I would assume it would be fine to take while BFing if you can take it while pregnant

Actually, caffeine while breastfeeding is fine. I forget the numbers but I know that hardly any of the caffeine gets into the breastmilk. Only a very small percentage of babies are affected by it and I'm pretty sure my baby isn't one of them. I can hardly wake him up to feed sometimes!

Lol some girl a few days ago said it's better to smoke than drink caffine while BFing I was like..well crap..Lol I've drank caffine this entire pregnancy..  naughty mommy! haha BUT yes a coke helps my throat feel better..that's what i'm drinking now

haha, that's BS, smoking is way worse! I drank 2 cups of coffee a day when I was pregnant and I still drink that same amount while BF'ing.
