Important Question

posted 19th Oct
Should you take the covers away from a kid with a fever? I am kinda scared to go to sleep bc my son has a fever, after hours never called back--i think it was to late and they wont call til morning bc its an office not hospital.

I am worried he will over heat and bc of his meds not wake up and i won't know?

Sometimes when my kids are sick I don't mind letting them have covers, it's a comforting feeling and maybe they'll 'sweat it out'. I don't know if that really works, but I guess it depends on how high their temp is. I hope he feels better! xo

Yeah, but I never turn the heat on in his room. Its not cold enough for upstairs to be cold yet. Another week or two.

He is sweating, but he keeps putting his blanket on when he wakes up. I dont know if I should let him keep it or not..

I always give my son a sheet to use when he has a fever. He likes to be covered, but its light enough to not make him too hot.
