So Charlie is now a peanut butter eater...

posted 19th Oct
After much worrying and deciding and whatnot, I decided to let my 14 month old try some peanut butter the other day since neither his father nor I have allergy to peanuts. The first two times I gave it to him( two separate days) I just gave him a tiny bit off my finger, but today I have given him a PB& J sandwich and he loves it! No reactions! woo hoo! Now I don't have to live in fear of him accidentally getting PB when I am not around and having some reaction, and this varies his diet a bit too.

Aw, that's great!!

I'm terrified of peanut butter, lol. There are no allergies in our family, but the one time I tried giving her peanut butter she got a red mask on her face around her eyes and cheeks. I read online that that could be sign of a reaction. So, I decided to wait to try again when she's two or three.

My son has never really cared for sandwiches, but he has been able to eat them since about then, but he already had a mouthful of teeth also.

haha I dunno my son has been chewing on grown up food for quite some time now ;) He can eat pizza no problem and he loves pasta and chicken etc...almost anything we eat only I cut it in to small pieces if it isn't soft enough for him to take a bite out of(like a soft wheat bread). He has only his eight front teeth...but he is cutting molars.

I know what you mean, I was terrified of giving it to him...I had myself all set to rush to the emergency room just in case.
