you did the right thing! not only is it illegal, but very dangerous, as you know. im sorry shes mad, but im glad you spoke up- she should understand youre just trying to protect her child, and she should be grateful.

When she gets pulled over she will have wished she listened to you

Some people dont listen. Like seriously when I was pregnant I learned that rule.
Whyare some people so ignorant not to do their research?? Ughhh

I agree I would have wanted someone to point it out to me too. It sounds like the mother knew the "rule" and either felt she knew better, or was too inconvienced by keeping it rear-facing. I remember when I was preggo, some VERY young Moms told me they turned their babies around WAY before then. It is my understanding that you can leave them rear-facing for longer, but it is necessary to leave them rear-facing for at least 1 year and 20lbs. Considering the rule, includes the 20lb regulation my little girl will be rear-facing til at least 16-18 months.

yep! i didnt know the rule when i had my first but i do now so my daughter will stay rear facing as long as possible/.. her being a new mom i thought i was helping her because no one told me when i had my first child...but she thought i was all in her business..whatever..just looking out
