One more 'Is this normal?' post

So I'm 10 pp now and my first period, last month, was barely even what someone would call a period. Two days of an occasional streak of blood and no cramps or anything. Well last week I got my first real one and for the first 4 of the 5 days I got no cramping which is weird for me. Then on the last day I started getting cramping sometimes. Well now I've been done for two days and I've noticed that everytime I nurse my little girl I get some substantial cramps during and for like 20 min after in my lower back and pelvic region - reminds me a lot of the cramps from nursing right after having the baby. Now I don't know if this is normal and I'm just getting my first period so late that is seems weird to me or if it's something to ask the doctor about.

When you nurse, your uterus contracts, which helps to bring your uterus back to its normal size in the beginning. But like you mentioned, I only had those right after having my son and nursing. It sounds like the same thing but I would double check with the doctor just in case.

I guess I'll ask, I just hate being that patient that sees the doctor for something I should know is normal.
