not sure

My daughter was born at 34 weeks. She's now 10 weeks. We have always put her on her back to sleep. We were going to do the same thing we did with our son...wait til he could roll over than he can sleep on his stomach all he wants. He sleeps on his stomach all the time. Here's my question...I laid her on her stomach in her crib so I could get my son to bed figuring she would wake up and I would take her. But she seems to be sleeping really good on her stomach. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with this yet. She can turn her head but it still worries me. Do you think it's ok to let her sleep on her stomach?

when she can roll over, herself. then it should be fine.

honestly with her being a preemie I wouldn't do that. If she rolls over herself then that is a different story. Her adjusted age is only 4 weeks and I wouldn't put a 4 week to sleep on their tummy personally.

I think I feel more comfortable with her sleeping on her back.

I just rolled her on her back and she started fussing and had trouble breathing. I put her back on her stomach and she's sleeping again. I'm going to be up for awhile so I'll leave her on her stomach for the time being. Confused.

My preemie also sleeps better on her tummy but I let her for the 1st time alone last week because she started rolling over (4 months). During the day though when she's right next to me I'll let her nap on her tummy. I still get nervous though, Im constantly checking on her.
