natural labor

I really want to make it through labor
without any meds, but everyones telling me i won't be able to do.
Any mommas out there who can tell me their natural labor story.
& if you could would you do it again, or go for meds.

I had a natural birth with my first, and I thought it was very painful and I did want the epidural but I was too far along. I did get it for my second and I thought it was amazing. But I have heard and know people that done it natural 2 or 3 times. It all depends on the person. But meds for me. Lol

i didnt get and epi.. but i was in labor for 20 hours and by the time 15hours rolled around i really needed something to give me a few moments to breath.. otherwise it would have been completely natural.... (and i'm countin the 20hours from the time of the water breakin.. jus thought i'd throw that in there)

i had my first one with out anything and i think that it all depends on how well you can deal with the pain everyone takes pain a diffrent way i would try it and if you cant take it they can give you stuff in your iv

i had a 37 hour natural labor....it was horrible!

but....i loved every minute of it, and the pain was gone as soon as i held my son in my arms

I went natural with my daughter.
I labored at home as long as possible, and used the birthing ball.
I felt so much better after labor naturally than with drugs.
I was more alert, and just felt better physically. And stronger.

oh yeah the ball! I used the hydrotherapy tub...that was awesome, and helped so much

here's the link to my labor story. i had a natural labor & birth at home. it was about as tough as doing an olympic event, at least that's how i felt after it was done, but it was about as tough as you'd think it would be to have a baby. if you just make up your mind not to use meds, it's easier. by the time i would have asked for pain meds, it was time to push. it was completely worth it to me and i want to do it exactly the same way next time. good luck!

& i'm not sure what they let you do
or use during labor.

My first i didnt have epi, but had 2 shots of pethidine. My daughter needed help to breath, and wasn't very alert for the next day or so. My second i had a water birth naturally... it was beautiful. My baby was very alert and happy. Altho, my first was 15 hours, and second was only 3 hours 45 minutes.

I want to do a homebirth for my next baby so bad. I'm having a hard time findingamidwifeand I hear that insurance won't cover it. Did you haveany of thoseproblems?

i had a natural labor and birth. i loved it. i was so tired afterwards though. if they induce you basically your stuck in bed and cant really do anything. they had the monitor up my hoo ha that screws into the top of the babys head (i hated that thing, i dont think i would let them do that again) but i was stuck. i couldnt walk around, it was a chore to go to the bathroom. basically being induced sucks. but hopefully next time i wont have to be induced. i would totally go natural again. hopefully next time i get my water birth though.

omg i had to have one of those mointors shoved up there too.. i thought it made the contractions harder.. and it felt EXTREMALY weird
