Filing for Disability...

I need advice from someone who has done it...what kind of injury did you have and what was the process?

my dad filed for disability because he has multiple sclerosis...to be declared legally disabled you have to have a disease, medical condition or injury that prevents you from holding a job that generates enough income to care for your family. if you have a husband that's working you probably won't get it....another bad thing is that you should allow anywhere from several months up to several years to be approved after you file.....so file sooner rather than later. personally from what i know, i think the system is pretty messed up. it's good if you can get disability but the government is going to make you go through hell and high water till they actually give it to you.

I'm on it, went through 4 yrs of hell to get it. Best advise, hire a lawyer!
