Where are you? (Adoption)

Dear Daughter,

Where are you??? I have been thinking and praying about you every day for months on end. We are so ready to hear about you!!! I can't wait to meet your birth mommy. I know she must love you very much and we can't wait to know we've been picked and meet her and share you with her. We can't wait to finally have you in our arms and spoil you rotten. Everything is all ready for you - your crib, clothes, formula.... I have a special place in my heart for you and it hurts so bad to just wonder when you're coming home. Is it next month? Is it next year? You are very wanted and we're so eager to have you join our family. I need some more estrogen in this house! The dog and I are the only girls and it's getting to be an o.d. on testosterone.

We have a Birth Mom that wants to meet us! I am so scared! She is gorgeous!! She is not 100% but we told her we are here for her and respect her decision no matter what. She invited us to her next prenatal appointment. I can't wait to meet her. She seems like more than we could ever dream of!!! I am just praying so much for her right now. She is going through a lot.

We did the same thing..we wrote our "dear birthmother letter" out...it kind of helps the waiting period. Its a journey that you never know where your going to end up..Still waiting for our future birth mother..Good luck hon meeting your potential birth mother..I wish you TONS of adoption dust LOL..

Today officially makes 18 months since we started our journey!!! I just wish I knew where we were going.

So when is this girl's next appointment?

It's on the 6th! I have not heard from her in over a week though, so I wonder if she is just busy or may have changed her mind? We will see!

It fell through....the sweet birth mother told us she just found out it was a boy and that it changed everything....she was taking that as her sign that she was supposed to keep him since we already had 3 boys. We are saddened, but we have told her all along that we want to be there for her no matter what her final choice was...and we hope she knows our love goes out to her and we wish her and her son the very best.

We also just gave our agency the boot...they were doing some things that were, eh, a little sketchy. We are in the process of switching. I wanted oh so bad to adopt from Ethiopia, but domestic will be much easier. If we can ever get a match. ;)
