i think im losing my milk

k so when my son was born i couldnt breastfeed cause he was to little so i would pump and then give it by bottle and now he is 4 weeks and i have been able to breastfeed sometimes and now im losing my milk all the sudden what the hell is wrong with me???


oh and i have like bad pains underneith my boobs like the ducts are clogged but ive tried everything hot water pumping to get it out and nothing it feels like needles in my boobs

your supply could maybe just finally be regulating to how much your LO is actually eating. i was always engorged and then all of a sudden it stopped, i thought i was losing my supply too, but my LO is still gaining weight and filling enough diapers. pumping isn't a good indicator of how much milk you're actually producing.

i would contact a LC. they really help.

well he still has a hard time latching so i let him get what he can then pump the rest and it just sucks i hate how bad it hurts all the sudden like when my milk comes down it feels like my boobs are getting cut off and it was never that bad yesterday and before that

hmm i don't know. id def contact a LC. my boobs tingle pretty bad when the milk comes down but nothing too painful...

this is off topic but i was kinda thinking u look a little like the girl from notebook. i donno her name. sorry so random lol.

and i did lose my milk i tried to pump again and i only got about 3 ounces and that was with both boobs together... i used to bump about 5 ounces on each breast and this time nothing oh poo it makes me sad but at least my freezer is full

have you tried to massage your breasts a bit while pumping or feeding?

maybe it is a yeast infection or something though. consume lots of yogurt.

ya i have and i dont breast feed often i mostly pump ... i have only tried a few times sometimes it works and sometimes it dont

i want to cry i dont want to lose my milk completely and i dont know what else to try
