shooting pain in breast

posted 16th Oct
I started getting a shooting pain in my right breast today and am worried it could be from thrush or something. I don't have any other symptoms and neither does my DS. Has anyone else ever had this and it turned out to be nothing and just went away?

All I know is that it could be a yeast infection, aka thrush. But I am getting the same pains, I'm hoping it has something to do with my milk coming in or leting down.

It could be Costrochondritis. Take an ibprofine or an anti inflammitory and see if that helps.

I have really sharp or shooting pains around my nipples everytime I hear my son cry or every few hours, I am afraid its my milk drying up, it hurts for about a min then goes away and just started about a week ago when I started producing less milk.

Is it from your let-down reflex? When my boobs let down it is kind of painful. I have to hold my chest until the feeling goes away. The other day I was holding my boobs and my 3 year old daughter asked me, "Mommy, why are you holding your breasts's?"
I replied, "Because my milk is coming out a bit and this keeps it in."
She said, "Oh, well, I can hold them for you."
I told her that was ok, it wasn't that serious. She's so thoughtful, lol.
