Yeah, I thought the same thing. And the fact that she wasn't bothered by it all. My SO told me I was crazy because it was bothering me more than her. But oh well. Nothing to worry about I guess. Hopefully Max's goes away soon.

The word "bumpy" caught my attention.
Jalyn has Keratosis pilaris, Give it a google and see if thats what it could be.
Just a thought.
Good luck though on getting rid of whatever it may be.

yeah, basically i would think perhaps he had that, except he doesn't have it in the right location (it's typically on the arms and other extremities).

Mara I get something similiar on my hips. I use Eucerin cream I put it on thick before bed for about a week and it clears up. I'm not sure what it is but it's just skin colored bumps (like small pimples) with a slightly dry skin feeling between the bumps.

I didnt read the whole thread, so I am not sure if this has been brought up, or if you found the solution, but my four year old sister got a rash that sounds similar to that when she was around 2 years old. It took me forever to find out what was wrong with her (I raised her) and the only thing that took the rash away was changing laundry detergent to a hypo-allergenic. I think it was tide or something. I guess she just had super sensitive skin.

yeah, i've changed detergent, so we'll see if it goes away.

so far it's not going away. but it's less on the tummy these days and more on the back/shoulders, it's like it's moved...

I just found out I have an intolerance to corn and it's by products. My body is in chronic inflamation so I've had to cut it completely out of my diet (leaving me with like, nothing to eat).

The DR said that after I've gone so long without corn, my body will be more sensitive to it if I accidentally eat something, but I'll feel better in the long run. One thing he mentioned was bumps that aren't colored and don't itch. Even said, "Like the ones a baby gets."

Is there something he ate frequently in Austria, not everyday but close, that he doesn't get often here? Or maybe it was something he was eating here and didn't have in Austria, and now that he's back he's reacting to it the way I was.

If he's not bothered, I would just wait until his next needed appointment and just add it to the list of questions for the pedi.

yeah, i don't know about the food changes. there isn't/wasn't anything drastically different or even notably different about his diet from austria to here.

he eats more crackers here... but really, he gets about the same amount of stuff.

and now the rash has changed and moved-- if it's even the same rash.

now it's no longer on his back and stomach--or more accurately, it's barely there--like a few bumps but almost gone, and is now mostly on his shoulders and he scratches it sometimes. i don't know if that's just b/c of the clothes rubbing him though... or if it's literally itchy itself. he doesn't scratch when he has no shirt on unless i'm touching it and inspecting it.

mm my son just started getting scaley dry skin and flesh colored papules that can turn red if irritated more,

but i changed detergents i think hes allergic to sun detergent. and i use this lotion they sell CVS pharmacy (i don't know that they have it in your area) called cerave, seems to work it's hardly there after a few hours,

i think it's eczema. weather food detergents can cause it
