HSG Question

I had a HSG last month, and I have been reading that the oil based dye gives you a 40% increased chance of conceiving 3 months after the procedure. I called the hospital where I had the test done and they said that they use "water" based dye. UGGHH.. we have been trying for 9 months my husband leaves forAfghanistanin Feb. so the Dr scheduled us to go through any testing now, my tubes are clear and he said we both look good to go, but I'm so devistated that going through something that I thought would help us get pregnant, wont help after all.. Any ladies have this test then get pregnant soon after? WIth the water dye?

I've never heard anyone having an HSG done just to up their chances of getting pregnant... but anyways, I haven't heard anything about the differences of the dyes, just that for some women the fluid being flushed through there essentially "cleans" the tubes out which may or may not help with getting pregnant. Hopefully they figure out what's going on so you can get preggo before ur DH leaves!
