amoxicillin HELP.

hey everyone i was just wondering if anyone knows the dosage of amoxicillin for a 3 year old? she weighs 31 lbs if that helps. its cuz theres a store that sells it here and i just wanted to get it on my own. she has been complaining of throat pain since yesterday and I KNOW if i take her to her pediatrician that is all he is going to give her i KNOW for a fact lol. so far no fever so i dont know if i should wait it out??? she was a bit warm last night but as soon as i gave her tylenol she was fine. thanks so much mommas!

can you call your doctors office? they should be able to tell you the dosage.

i was thinking of calling them the girl that works there helps us out a lot...its cuz we dont have insurance for her at the moment.

yeah here they do at this one store near us. we just tell them how strong we want it or the age of the person buti dont think they know about dosage.

Thats what I was thinking because I am allergic to amox.

Yeah they will be able to help you. We have the meds.. but I wouldn't even know what the dosage is. and.. I'd kinda be more likely to go off what a doctors office said.. than someone online (no offence to bg mommas.) but.. I know every doctor is different.

I don't think I would trust buying something OTC that is supposed to be prescription. That just doesn't rub me the right way.

Amox. is a prescription drug. I would not buy it otc.

its 5 milliliters. but yea you can always ask the store pharmacy too.
