Concerns about my 6 month old

posted 16th Oct
Hey ladies   I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice or opinions about my 6 month old baby.. I have 3 boys. The Dr has concerns because he is not rolling over or using his legs to hold himself up when he is supported. IS this something to really be worried about? He also doesnt push himself up when he's on his belly.. He's lazy and jusy lays there lol.. Have any of your munchkins been delayed in doing these milestone markers?? Thanks!

I don't know, but I know a little boy who's 7 months. He rolls over but he doesn't push up or anything like that. Some babies just take a little longer than others. I'm sure he'll figure it out soon.

Babies develope at different paces. My Son rolled over right before 4 months. And was trying to crawl before he could even sit up on his own. They just go at their own pace. Give him time.

Thank you girls!! God bless your little ones   Hopefully he'll get out of lazy mode and try harder lol.. Are there any toys or tricks that would help?

i kept rolling him over, and doing tummy time, then like a week or 2 later he did it himself.

We bought Sophia a jumperoo around 5.5 months and then she couldn't stop jumping in our laps for about 2 weeks! She is 6.5 months old now and really puts weight on her legs. She rolled over a few times early on and then stopped for like 2 months. I was worried but then last week she started doing this weird thing with her head and now does it to roll over. The doctor says most babies use their hips but its just whatever. Put him on his belly a lot with toys around and help him. He'll figure it out!

He may just be developing at his own pace

but, do LOTS of tummy time, lay down facing him so that he has to kind of push himself up to look at you. move around and try to get him to look at you in different places so that he's using his muscles.

in a couple months, if he isn't doing a bit more, though you may want to talk to the pedi again and pursue some looking at his muscular structure. Just to make sure everything is developing properly. but i am sure he'll be fine
