Just Wondering...

I am 33 weeks today... I will officaially be off of bed and pelvic rest in 3 more weeks (If I can make it that far)... I have been on bed rest since 20 weeks and pelvic rest has been off and on since then too... I am already 3cm dilated and almost completely thinned out and the baby is at about 0 station (possibly a little lower) and the bag of waters is bulging... Sorry if this is tmi... but I havent had sex in FOREVER and its driving me crazy... I want to jump my SO so bad lol. I have 3 more weeks until Im allowed to do the deed, but Im also nervous because 36 weeks still seems too soon to have her (had my first at 39 weeks)... anywho... my question is (and Im sorry if Im rambling... with all the contractions I have been having I havent slept a good nights sleep in like almost 2 weeks)...

With how far dilated and thinned out I am (and I could be more dilated by the time 36 weeks rolls around) do you think sex would cause my water to break and for me to have her? What do you think the chances would be??? I know you arent doctors and its all just a guessing game... if you all have personal experiences you want to share about this happening to you then that would be awesome.

I know you want some smecks, but I wouldn't risk putting my LO in danger for my own sexual pleasure.

honestly veronica its worth waiting i havent had sex with my SO in about 5 months

36 weeks is considered full term.
and having sex to "get you into labor" is all coincidental...my daughter was a week late, and i tried EVERYTHING to get her out early. nothing worked.

good luck though.
i say jump his bones, and if your water breaks, it breaks. it just means this little one wants to see you sooner. lol

I wouldn't do it! I know how badly you want it but I wouldn't do it. My water never broke and I never had sex since my husband was away in Iraq so I went my whole pregnancy without sex so I don't really know honestly but it seems like too much of a risk because you really don't know what your body is doing or wants to do! Congrats on another week I knew it was getting closer. My dad was born at 32 weeks and that was back in '54 he was 4 pounds and 16 inches....it's now '09 so things are a lot better now.

knowing your situation, i wouldnt risk it. with your stats being 3cm already, i bet if you have sex, it will start labor.

I wouldnt personally risk it. Keep that baby in you as long as possible.. getting nookie isnt nearly as important as keeping that life inside of you growing strong and healthy!

But I feel your pain.. I had been on bedrest for two months prior to birth. I was givin the steroid shot at 31wks.. but I made it to 37.. I had sex 5 weeks pp.. it was the best sex ive had in my entire life. Its worth the wait.. keep that baby in you!

Thanks guys... as much as I want it... I guess I can hold off another week or two (if I make it these next 3 weeks)... My SO will just have to deal, and so will I.

My youngest was born @ 36 wks.......other than him being a budding sociopath, there is nothing wrong with him.

LOL I hate giving them too. I've been having to give them a lot lately to get what I want lol

hey veronica! Youre doing so good, just hang on a few more weeks then go hog wild lol My friends son was born at 35 weeks because she had issues and wanted to have sex with her DH so badly, they did it just once. Her water actually did break afterwards. I dont know how common it is for that to happen but she had a super rough pregnancy. He was fine, got to go home when she did any everything he was just sooo small! If shes born now though she will probably have to be in the NICU for a little while, so more time in the belly = less time in the NICU. preemies and the flu season arent a good combination. good luck mama, youre almost there!!
