Question about dropping....

posted 15th Oct
So, i'm carrying extremellllyyyy low. The whole pregnancy has been that way. I know my baby's head is down (i'm measuring 31 weeks), but doesn't that have something to do with "dropping" or is that something else? How can my baby get lower than she already is? *confused*

edt: obviously she'll get lower when she's in the birth canal, lol, but i'm talking about now, lol

are you asking if how you are measuring is affected by dropping?

no, i guess i'm just asking what to expect 'dropping' is, or even means for me. Everyone else i know (Except Rachel up there, lol) is carrying high enough to notice a drop in positioning when their baby is gearin up for birth (even if it is still a month away for some people). But i don't know how i'll notice it. That "dropping" thing seems pretty important... so how will i know? Isn't ella already in a 'dropped' position, since she's always been so low?

oh okay. well i carried pretty low with my son, but i definitely noticed when he dropped, because i could feel a pressure lower, like kind of on my hip bones. it was harder to walk, and you can jsut tell. So that's the best asnwer i can give. lol

well that still helps, so thnk you   Maybe i'll notice her dropping lower. I'm just so uncomfortable, and with her head below where i zip my low-rise pants, it's just so tender and uncomfortable. And i can tell my cervix is achey and blaahhh. I can't wait til my midwife starts checking to see when i have labor progress. I always used to wonder what women were in such a hurry to have their babies for, but i'm starting to understand.. I've got 60 days left, and i'm already like "alright, let's get this show on the road." lol

Your hooha will hurt like hell. I feel like she is going to bust out when I stand up, and when I am laying down I am very aware of where her head is sitting. Its like having a bowling ball between your legs. I think if Olivia drops anymore she is going to fall out.
