What a whirlwind, i'll be thinking of you all. Well done for pumping too, that is such a great thing for them. It's normal for them to be just on IV for a while, they usually start milk through the NG after a few days.

I also had b/g twins, they came a week later but in 2007. Our daughter had already passed and our son was 1 lb 14 oz. NICU is a very long journey. I hope you have an easy recovery and you'll all be ok, i know they have some really great NICUs over there.

they are doing okay. both are getting more and more feeds each day which is helping them to put on weight. archer is now over 2lbs but lara is still close to her birth weight. i'm hoping that she reaches the 2lb mark soon. the nurses have said that things are pretty unstable as far as their progress goes until about the 32 week mark, so we are all anxious for them to get to that point. they'll be 29 weeks on tuesday, so it's getting close. i'll be going down either monday or tuesday to see them again. my IF is there all by himself, as his partner had to return to work overseas, and i don't want him to get burned out. he's literally at the hospital from 730am to almost midnight everyday, so i will be going there as much as possible to get him away for a little bit and to bring my milk. i'm sad that the hospital is over an hour away, but it has one of the best NICU's in the country, so i'm glad that the babies are there. my IF's are both such great daddies!

That is good to hear. I'm glad everything seems to be going okay so far. Hopefully it all stays that way!

Where are the parents from? And a gay couple I take it? (Absolutely no issues, just wanting to make sure I read it correctly)

The babies' Daddy sounds like a great guy. Good luck wtih everything. You're an awesome person. Lucky babies, and lucky Daddies!

my beautiful surrotwins are now 29 weeks/3 weeks old and i've gone to visit them twice this week.

it was an eventful day for little Lara. her oxygen levels dropped down to 20 and they had to pump air into her lungs. her oxygen levels are desaturating pretty consistently right now, and hopefully she gets over this phase soon. she is finally just over the 2lb mark and they are starting to increase her feedings. she definitely keeps everyone on their toes and always wants her daddy's attention.

Archer is exceeding the doctor's expectations. he is on full feeds and is putting on weight steadily. he is around 2.7lbs and should be hitting the 3lb mark soon. he is very strong! i got to take his temperature and he did not want his arm held down and made sure i knew it.

both babies are on the vent right now after unsuccessful extubations, but they are hoping to transition them to the CPAP again soon.

my IF is hanging in there. he is such a committed, wonderful father. he told me that he feels like he's aged 2 years in the past 2 weeks and i can't blame him.

i'm continuing to pump and am getting a pretty good supply, so thankfully that is going well.
