miscarriage?

ladies, i know this may sound stupid, immature, or however it may sound to you.. but how to do you know if you have had a miscarriage? im hoping and praying that nothing happened, and im just loosing it. but im pretty sure iknow im not, and im pretty sure i had a miscarriage.

a long story short, my last period was september 2nd, and i had sex i think the 9th, then i started my birth control (yaz) on the 16th. my usual period was 24 days. which meant i should have had it on the 30th. but since i was on birth control which would change my period to 28 days i knew not to expect my period. but considering i started my pill 10 days after my period ended, i was thinking iwould at least spot, have signs of my period coming soon, or anything! i felt sick, i had horrible headaches, and back cramps, but i thought it was side effects of the pill, i should have tested anyway just to be sure, but i guess i was chicken.
so yesterday, 35 days without a period, i finally started what i thought was my period, very very lite, barely anything, well this morning i was cramping really bad, i doubled over a few times, and it lasted a few hours, well at school, i wore a pad thinking i was on my period, and i felt a gush well i ignored it thinking my period was just getting heavy or something, so when i went to the bathroom i didnt expect what i found. i looked down and saw this lil 'blob' like shape, kinda looked like a 'C' i dont now how else to explain it. and what looked like a string attached, it was kinda bloody looking, and i expected to see a lot of blood from the gush feeling but i didnt. i knew if it was just clotted blood, my pad should have soaked some of it up. even now im still in shock.
the whole point of this is, i know ishould go to the doctor just in case, but to ease my nerves, do you ladies think i had a miscarriage?

again sorry if this sounds immature, and i know this area is for ladies who have lost there dear lils ones. but if you could help ease my.. pain, i would be grateful!

Are you continuing to bleed heavy and cramp?
All I have heard is bad things about YAZ btw.

If you take a pregnancy test within 24 hours of that happening it should still come out positive. That's what my dr told me when I had something very similar happen to me, with the "c" and everything. Good luck mama

ETA: If it comes back positive then chances are you had a miscarriage, if it comes back negative then it could just be weird side effects of you starting the pill. I had something like that happen but the test came back negative.

the cramping isnt as bad now, and not heavy bleeding no
and yes, im herd very bad things about YAZ i want off of it,
i plan on talking to my doctor about it asap

Yes I tested after it happened. I was so scared and in shock seeing that... It was exactly what you described and I was just sure I was miscarrying. It was heartbreaking so I'm so sorry you have to go through it, but I took a test almost right after and it came back negative, so my dr assured me it was just weird uterine lining.

thank you, it gives me some hope, i just couldnt imagine actually loosing a baby, its not that i wouldnt love him/her its just i rather know i wasnt pregnant, then that i was, and lost the baby!

if i did have a miscarriage it happened around 10:30am today,
i wont be able to get a test till sometime tomorrow morning, do you think thats running to close to 24 hours?

I know exactly what you mean! I had those thoughts running through my head, too. You should be fine to take a test tomorrow morning. If it was a m/c your levels will still be dropping, so they'll still show up on a test. The sooner the better but I think tomorrow morning would be fine. Either way, keep your chin up! I know how scary this must be for you, I really hope it's just your body pulling a freaky trick. Gotta love it when body's do that to us!

Yeah you should look into a different type of bc. I've heard yaz can be bad for your health, I saw something about it on TV. It took me switching pills a few times to find one that was right for me. Keep me updated! Best of luck to you I really hope it's nothing!

im not really sure, i was in too much shock to look at it closely, i think it was kinda greyish looking but that could have been from the blood that was kinda on it.. and a 'string' coming off it about 1 in. maybe (im sorry im not really good at guessing length) thats all i can really remember... its like a bad dream you dont want to think about...
