sippy cup, really cup ect?

what age did you give your child a sippy cup, real cup and all those stages?

sippy cup at 5 months, real cup at 5 months. But I helped him with the real cup, & only did it a few times

We started introducing the sippy at 6 months. She refused it completely until 12.5 months. She is 19 months now and drinks from a regular cup or water bottle.

Introduced at 5-6 months. He drank out of a sippy by 8 months. Sippy only at 10-11 months. No bottle.

He can drink out of a reg cup now but I have to help him hold it. He has since 11 months or so?

My son is 7 months. I introduced the sippy at 5 months but he still hasn't gotten the hang of it. I let him have a sip of water out of my water bottle a couple times and he seems to like that better. I get the feeling he's going to be one of those babies that just hates sippy cups and ends up going straight to a straw/regular cup from a bottle.

My son couldn't figure out a straw until he was nearly 12 months. lol I had so many trial sippy cups in my cabinets....all he needed was time!  

my son is 2 and uses a sippy cup. he isn't good at a regular cup and chokes on the water. im not pressing it, gto be honest we are usually on the go anyway so it's usually a sippy cup no matter what.

  Yeah, I have several different brands and I was gonna go out and buy a different brand someone suggested.. But, you're right.. we're taking it day by day, trying to give it to him throughout the day to see what he does with it.

thanks guys, she is 6 months, so i guess it wouldnt hurt trying it on her during the day with some water or a little formula to get her use to it..
