I bought mine before.

After...like, two months after.

I'm waiting until after, I didn't BF with my son because I had a hell of a time getting him to latch.

I got it while I was in the hospital because I couldnt get her to latch.

I got one before, but then I got another one at the hospital from the lac. nurse, and its a manual one and i love it, pumps much faster than the auto one

I got a cheap playtex one before I had her. I only used it like 5 times. I borrowed one from WIC b/c of school, and if I had the money I'd totally buy a Medela. Those pumps are really good and fast.

Before, Only cause she was 8 weeks early and is still in the nicu so i pump at home and take the bottles to the hospital with me when i go.

i had manuel hand pumps but had no idea that Emma was going to be in the NICU and wouldn't latch the first four months. i thought we would get it right away. but a lady came in a gave me a pump, medela in style advanced. you get one per life time if you are on medicaid. you can ask the nurse in the hospital. i would get it before had though, just to be ready

you can get one from the Health department.

a friend of mine got one that was REALLY nice.
