this might seem like an odd question..

i know there are certain situations where court ordered paternity tests are possible. but say a man is suspicious that he is the fatherof someones baby. is there any way that he could go about getting a court ordered test for no reason other than suspicion?

I think if there is any suspicion then they have to do it, if paternity isn't already established.

You can get a dna kit from online. It's like $90. Is that what your talking about?

thats alright. i was asking because ive never told him that i was pregnant.
that might sound like a shitty thing to do in a lot of people's minds.
but i had serious reasons as to why i didnt as far as drugs & abusive behavior.
so now im just worried that he could prove it was his by a court ordered test.

IF your state is the same as PA .... he can't legally put his name on the birth certificate without your permission because you aren't married.

if he wanted to, though, he could take you to court for custody/visitation ... but, if you have proof of his habits and behavior you can definitely fight against it.

oh wow, i didn't even pay attention to where your thing said you were from. you're the first local-ish person i've seen on here. i'm in the pgh suburbs, probably about 20min south/west of downtown. near mckeesport, if you know where that is. where are you?

when it comes to paperwork and all that shit in PA, if you aren't married pretty much all the rights are with the mother. in order for him to get his name on the birth certificate, i'm pretty sure that there is paperwork that you both have to sign. i know that when my fiance and i did all of our boys' paperwork, he had to fill out paternity acknowdlegement papers because we aren't married. he's on their BCs and they have his last name, so it's a little different. i could be wrong, but i really don't think that he can do something like that without you having to be a part of it.

I live outside of uniontown. so were definitely pretty close.

i dont think i need to worry about the birth certificate thing. i just dont ever want him to truely find out its his. suspecting i can probably handle. but for him to actually know, would be awful. he's crazy. im embarrassed to even say i got mixed up with someone like him.

if he ever asks you, just tell him that you were with someone else right after him and he was already paternity tested positive. not that i think it's a nice idea to lie to someone like that, but if it's really a situation where he's crazy and it could be unsafe for you or the baby ... it's easier to do that than to fight with him about it. the only thing is, if he DOES want to fight about it and it goes to court, they would want to know why you hid it from him or lied about it.
