I don't usually do this..

But I could really use some prayers, good thoughts, positive vibes, whatever you believe in.

My grandmother will be 86 in November, a day before my daughter's first birthday. She lives in another state so we don't get to see her often. She has been feeling really sick lately and went to the doctor today. She has been having stomach pain and when the doctor was pressing on her stomach, he found a knot that should not be there. We are unsure what this is but things are pointing towards a tumor of some sort.

We just buried my grandpa a few years ago and I am not ready to bury my grandmother. We were not always the closest but I do love her dearly. Ever since she lost my grandpa, she has not been the same. I honestly think she is dying slowly of a broken heart. She has been so feeble and sick.



This is her and my daughter, the only time they met.

Hopefully you guys will be able to see her before she passes on. Keep your head up and keep thinking positive thoughts.

I'm sorry that you're going through this.
After my grandfather died, my grandama was never the same. She would talk to me a lot about her dying, and how she was ready for it, and it made it a lot easier for me. She wasn't as happy here anymore, and had a lot of good things waiting for her, she was ready to go. It's the people left behind who hurt.

i wish you and your family the best. Hopefully it isn't anything bad. I am having surgery to remove a small tumor this week but it isnt cancerous, so maybe that is what it is in your gma.

I'm sorry, hon. I know how you feel. My grandpa died a few years ago and my grandma hasn't been the same either. She was in the hospital earlier this year and they thought she might die. It is so hard to go through. And being far away and feeling like there is nothing you can do to help doesn't make you feel any better. Everything will work out in the end. I hope that you all find peace in whatever happens.

I'm glad. I was hoping I didn't come off as insensitive, I just know that it helped me so much after my Grandmother passed away. I was actually happy for her. I was miserable for myself and my mother, but happy for her.

Make sure you go visit her as soon as you can sweetie!! It's so hard I miss my grandparents SO much, and I really wish they'd been able to meet Brynn, although I know they are all here with us in spirit.

Awe hun   This has to be difficult! You have a beautiful grandmother. I think i would agree with your statement on her not being the same since her husband passed. I know several people who are like that.
