Uggh... last minute wedding...

So I'm fucking scrambling right now because one of my very closest childhood friends FINALLY set her wedding date... for 2 weeks from now!!! She told me about 6 months ago that I HAD to be a bridesmaid, I've got to be there, blah blah blah... so i've been patiently awaiting a date... thinking she'd give me a few months notice. No, not even a months notice...

She's down in Pensacola for AO school right now and that's where they're getting married... would've been nice if she could have told me this about 2 months ago because I was JUST there for my other best friends birthday... where I effing SPENT all the money I had saved up. If I had even 2 or 3 paychecks coming in between now and her wedding it would be feasible, but I totally don't. And now I'm going to be the bad guy if I can't throw shit together at the last minute... sigh.

Yikes, what bride gives their bridesmaids a two weeks notice? I assume she can't be too shocked if you can't make it...

That's on her. No one can just up & leave.

I'd be straight with her and tell her that either she foots the bill for you to fly out there or finds another bridesmaid.

I'd tell her that it's too short notice for you to get money together, get a dress, and get down there and make arrangements for your child during all this as well. I wouldn't go no matter how good of a friend it was.  

It's so damn frustrating because while I found a one way ticket down there for $93, which is doable, trying to figure out how I'd get home is crazy... I'm just tired of always being the nice guy... I spent an extra WEEK in Florida the last time I went, so I could be at my other friends little boys 1st birthday... even though she blew off Aidan's to go party at Troy and thats money I DIDN'T have... and now I made this promise months ago that I just don't think I can keep. I mean, it's just crazy... and yeah, the dress, uggh I haven't even put that expense into the equation...

Holy crap what was she thinking? Oh wait theres no way in hell she was! Just tel her how it is! She can't get too pissed and if she does oh well for he being lame
