He wants another baby

My husband and I have a wonderful relationship. We have great kids, 5 of them actually. 18 months to 11 years old. I was made to be a mom, of this fact I have no doubt. Now Chris is talking about having one more child before he has a vasectomy. I am torn. We are financially stable, our marriage is wonderful (not perfect we all have ups and downs) and we have a large 5 bedroom house. I am just saying, another baby would be just fine. What makes me think that I don't want another child though? The stupid comments that people feel free to make about us having so many kids. I hate hearing it. It's never welcomed or wanted. However people feel free to tell me just how crazy I am that I have so many. These are family members, perfect strangers, friends.....everyone! So how do I deal with it?

screw what everyone thinks. they'd say something if you didn't have kids, too. people ALWAYS have something to talk about. get knocked up.

Ignore them. They aren't paying your bills or taking care of your kids.If y'all are able and its something y'all want go for it. Personally I couldn't imagine having 6 kids but its your life you have to live it

Is the reason you are hesitant to have another baby because you're concerned about what other ppl are going to think, or do you have personal concerns about adding another member to your family?

Ignore them! It's none of their business!

It sounds like you are able to have one more so if you and your husband want to then go for it! It's your family, do what will make y'all happy!

I wish I could have 6 kids one day! That is my dream! But, the way my life is looking right now, that will never happen  Do what you want to do momma. Do what will make you happy!

I didn't want our youngest. I was done after my son. I acted like an ass. I cried for so long. At 12 weeks gestation I started bleeding and almost lost her. It was then that i realized that I wanted her. I mean what kind of mom am I? It took almost losing her to make me want her. I am afraid that could happen again I guess. When she was born and had to be in the NICU I felt like I was to blame because of the way I acted. It's a guilt that I still can't get over. So maybe that has something to do with my hesitation to have another child. I am not sure. And it's so hard to hear those stupid effing comments that people make. I don't know....

I met a lady the other day (she's a customer at my work) that has 5 kids, aged 12 all the way down to 18 months, and I seriously shook her hand and congratulated her. I don't know how you ladies deal with it. She was such a sweet person, and I was totally envious of her. I'd love that many children, but financially we're struggling with the idea of a 2nd one! If you can financially afford it, and mentally and emotionally you are ready for another one, then fuck what other people say... there are people in the world who completely envy you!  

Just give yourself some time - will he be happy with 6 - or is he going to try and squeeze juice out for #7 after you have #6 ??? This is your body, and it should be your decision - so talk to hubster and tell him how you are feeling.

honestly, if you have 5 and people already say negative things to you....whats one more? do what you think is right....i would love to have 5 kids! You are very lucky to be financially able to support all of them and there's nothing wrong with it!

I love big families. Forget what people say. If you want more, and are able to support them and love them and care for them, go for it!!!

but if you tell them that you guys WANTED a big family and there is more love in your family than they will ever understand. of course your family and how many members you have in it, is YOUR choice. i wouldnt worry about what others think, but if anyone makes snide comments, just tell them what i said above  

I know the feeling. Once the twins have stable health and we feel the time is right we are still looking to add to our family. We would love at least 3 more. We get looks, stares, gasps when people hear this. especially since we say we'd love to have twins again as long as we didn't have to go the nicu route again. The perk for me. I have a new found obsession with shuttles and would love to own one to cart around my large and loving family, plus extended family and all of our stuff for outings galore. I say you know in your heart of hearts if you are truly ready to add to your family and if someone is missing or not. For us, we know some one, or two, or three are definitely still missing and we are not complete. Best of luck to you sweetness xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

it isn't really anyones business but yours! who cares what they think. if it's something you want and are ready for, i say go for it!
