Flu shot 9 month old

So i took my nine month old to his check up this week and everything went great but my doctor was asking me if i wanted to give him the flu shot i told her not today cuz i had to think about it first. I need some opinions, i never had the flu shot myself and have been fine but its different when it comes to my baby. Who has given their babies the flu shot (not the H1N1 cuz im not considering that at this point anyways) and why and how old were they?

the first ime they get the regualr flu shit it is in 2 doses- Elaina got hers last year at age 11 months and 12 months- she had no ill effects.

Grace got her flu shot when she was 6 months old and had no side effects from it. This year she was 15 months old when she got it and she had a little cold but she was also getting her first molars in, so I think it was a combination of everything.

I am in the medical field and I, personally, think it's better to let them or anyone fight it off by themselves. As long as you seek medical attention at the first signs of being sick.

My kids have gotten it for the past 2 years...and this year..my youngest is 7 months...but we are having a HUGE epedimic here they shut down the schools and everything its been so bad..and plus we've been going to hospitals for specialist and its MAJORLY bad there...and my kids have a low immune system because of some health problems...they did pretty damn good with it..its a tough decision

i hate the flu shot i dont get it so my LO wont get it either

im not getting it. It hasnt been around long enough to conduct side effects long term

my moms a nurse and she says the same thing to me!

they are requiring ANYONE who works in the health field to get the H1N1 in cincinnati hospitals even if you are a housekeeper. and schools are requiring it here too.

I never had it either so im worried about my son getting it. Not to mention that my friends daughter got it and ended up having to be hospitalized cuz she got really high fevers from it and a few other problems. but everyone keeps telling me i should get it for him. except my mom she doesnt want me or him to get it

Wow. Im surprised they are requiring it even though there isnt a lot of testing on it yet. I dont know anyone who got it here so far.

My LO doesn't get flu shots...he is breastfed and stays home with me everyday. In 2 out of 4 brands of the flu shot there is a full dose of mercury and all 4 brands have formaldehyde.

and h1n1 has been included in years past flu shots.

i dont believe in getting any of them..... fight it off and go in at the first sign of any symptoms instead of putting that crap into your body
