Sooo... Aidan fell down a flight of stairs.

Yep. Quite an ordeal today... as I was getting Aidan ready to go to the mall this morning I took him upstairs to grab a shirt out of his dresser drawer. As usual he was being squirmy and wanted to grab the cat, so I put him down while I got his shirt and closed the drawer back... before I could even snatch him off he goes, chasing after the cat... when it ran downstairs. Clearly by this point you all realize the gate was not shut, thinking I would only be 2 seconds... and as we ALL know 2 seconds is plenty of time for Speedy Gonzales AKA the toddler.

He fell, luckily, on his side and not head over heels. Immediately looked up at me and started crying... thank God. Grabbed him up, called my husband while checking him over, shining a flashlight into his eyes to check how quickly and evenly they dilated... husband was home a few minutes later and we took him to the local ER. He's perfectly fine... the dr was a bit of a lying ass but that's another story (something I was more than prepared for anyway). All together, very trying day... he is now playing with daddy and laughing like a goofball. Uggh, the trials and tribulations have just begun...

My daughter has fallen and busted her head open on something aluminum outdoors and scared the shit out of me.

my son climbed our entire flight of stairs one day when i was vacuuming & i thank god he didn't fall, because they're hardwood & it could have been very bad..

my god... im terrified of toddler years.. lol... hell im terrified of teenage years but that becuase i have a girl... now every time i see a skanky mixed teenage girl walkin down the street i just go
"oh my gawd....what the hell am i gonna do.."

Uggh, for some odd reason the irrelevant question of vaccines came up and when I said we're planning on delaying right now he tried to use the old "well he'll have to have them to attend school" and when I quickly thwarted that with reality, he then tried another approach regarding school... also completely false... and then he dropped the subject...   but, like I said, something I was prepared for.
