Question for the ones who are irregular...

So first ill give a little history...
I have VERY irregular periods... right now im averaging around 47-57 days. But that really doesnt mean much because one cycle could be 25 days and then the next 75... So there are no consistencies. LMP was Aug 28- it lasted approx. 2 weeks. The period before that was May 28. I did have spotting in June but nothing in July. Im currently on CD 40, im not late but im not sure when "late" is lol.

Anyways... the last 3 days ive had sporadic cramping on my left lower abdomin like inside my hip. Tonight its really cramping, almost like period cramps but very localized on the left side...

I guess my question is, is this O pain? or maybe something else? I don't have OPKS to test (promised myself no more testing till after the new year if we havent conceived)

Also, anyone irregular like me and have any tips for ttc that doesn't involve medical intervention?

What about temping? CVS/Walgreens have Basel Thermomiters and they are only like $7.99....I did better temping then with OPK's. I drink entirely too much water all the time for any pee test to be accurate.

I temp'd for a couple months back in may/june... and there was no pattern at all... i dont think i did it long enough though... and then my son got ahold of my bbt and he broke it lol so i just stopped. maybe i'll try again. thank you for the advice!

Before I got pregnant with my son, it had been probably 6 months since I had had a period...and then POOF! when I wasnt expecting it at all, I was pregnant. My son was born in November, and I had not had a period since he was born until this last week! My doctor put me on daily prenatals, and evening primrose oil, as of last month, Idk if thats why AF came this month, or if she just decided to show up!

hmmm thats interesting! are you taking the primrose capsules? ive got a huge bottle of prenatals but i always forget to take them

Yep.  
So who knows if thats really what helped. I would like to think that it was, but we will see next month!

I used to have my cycles as every 37-44 days, I went on the pill to help regulate them, and when my ex fiance and I were actually TTC, a mama on here told me to ween myself off of the pill so my body will still remain regular even after the hormones were completely out of my body. Then a couple months later, they became every 31 days & stayed like that. We broke up so I went back on BC in March then we decided to work things out in August, then boom I got pregnant from missing 1 pill. So you could actually try to go on the pill, miss some pills a couple days awake then you might ovulate or get pregnant.

hmmmm ill ask my doc about bc pills... i was on the patch for a lonnnnng time, like 5 years. and it regulated me, but i figured, we want to have another kiddo, so bc wasnt something we were thinking about. thanks for the advice!

No problem  I know a lot of girls who have gotten pregnant off of the pill but it was because they missed a lot. I actually wasn't trying to get pregnant at all again and it was the only pill I missed in months but I guess that's all it took.
