Double Ureter in both Kidneys/ Stage 2 Kidney Reflux

that is the results we got today from my 1 year old daughter Madalyns U/S and VCUG ... anyones child have this .. im so worried .. they mentioned surgery possibly and 1 year of antibiotics.. we are going in the next week or two to a Pediatric Urologist .... anyone else been through this with their little one

i havent been through it, but my daughter has had a vcug. she has 1 kidney. they did the vcug and saw there was no reflux and told us her 1 kidney was just as good as 2 kidneys lol. im sure your daughter will be fine. the antibiotics will be to prevent a kidney infection incase she gets a bladder // UT infection so it wont spread to the kidneys. good luck

I was born with two ureters on each of my kidneys though on my right kidney, one of the ureters were connected to my kidney but not to the bladder and no one knew about this until I was around one or so when I started having crazy fevers that was when my mom brought me to the States for doctors to check me and it wasn't until I was almost three when they did operated on me to remove the ureter and a part of my right kidney (due to the infection) and since then I never had any problems. My left kidney has both ureters connected fine and my right just has one.
If you have any questions let me know (hope my story made sense, sorry if it sounds confusing). I saw this post when I was trying to do some research about the condition I had and hoped my story gives some comfort (even though my reply is rather late >_<).

thank you so much for your reply .. i have been trying to find any kind of information on this with very little luck .. at this point i dont know anything other than that she has double ureters on each side.. i dont know if they are both formed correctly or functioning correctly.. we go next friday to see a pediatric urologist to find more out .. how long did your surgery take? were you hospitalized? if so how long ? if you dont mind me asking
