itchy stretch marks

my stretch marks have been really itchy for about a month, it seems like there is a rash on them or something. I've been using hydrocortisone, but it's only temporary relief and it's driving me crazy! any ideas on what i could use and what it could be?

its probably dry... tummy butter!!!!

A LOT of lotions...the pregnancy and motherhood creme...from Curell (I think!) helps a lot.

i agree the dryer they are, the itchier they become. try rubbing yourself up in baby lotion if nothing else.  

maybe try a moisturizing body wash or something as well.

YEP!!! PUPPPs!!! Its the most horrible "harmless" pregnancy condition EVER! I had it for forever and it was AWEFUL!

Sounds exactly like what I had---except mine spread all the way up to my collar bones and all the way down to my toes. Misery at its finest!

Luckily, it won't hurt the baby, but you SHOULD talk to the doc about it to see if he/she can give you something to stop/slow the spread because you DONT want it to spread!

See...thats what I get for being too caught up in the memory of how bad my PUPPPs was (it made me itch all over again)


---since you don't have PUPPPs, wanna hear my "cure" for stretch marks? breastmilk!

I leak a LOT, so I have trails of boobie juice down my tummy all the time if I'm at home (because I don't wear breastpads at home, just a sports bra if I can get away with it). The stretch marked areas under my boobs that are always getting boob juice on them have already faded to skin color and aren't visible at a glance...the restof my stretchies are still angry red/pink and very visible (but getting a bit better than they were right after delivery!).

Just thought I'd share!
