It really just depends on the pregnant teen for me. On a personal level, being a teenager and pregnant is not ideal. There is a lot you miss out on in life without honestly realizing it until you're older. Also, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is more difficult when you start out so young.

I was a teen mother, I know what I talk about from sheer experience. I was also extremely mature and had to grow up far faster than what should be necessary. Still, that didn't really fully prepare me for everything that would be thrown at me as an adult with a child in arms. If I could, I'd go back in time and put off having Brandon for a few years. I have no shame in saying that. I love my son dearly, I just wish he'd have come a little later in life than he did.

I have respect for teen mothers who can honestly admit that having a baby at such a young age is not ideal, not the greatest idea in the world. If you are willing to admit to wrong doing, then I respect that. What I do not respect is the constant defending it by saying "Well, I'm mature...I grew up fast...blah blah blah." That is, in no way, preparing your for REAL reality.

Oh I totally know its not ideal, its going to be extremely hard and a constant struggle I'm sure. I know I'm not "ready" when you look at finance and everything, but I am going to do everything I can to provide that baby with everything I can!

I made a mistake. I know that. I took responsibility for that mistake not only by raising my child but by admitting it was just that...a mistake. I love him, as I said, but it wasn't the most intelligent thing I ever did lol

Nope lol I tend not to go into teen pregnancy. I am no longer considered a teen mom and my outlook is not at all welcome because many of them feel it's too judgmental. I'd have to say being I am a teen mother, even if the years have gone by, I know what I am talking about. I hardly call my educated experience judgmental.

Well I like your opinions. The last thread had girls calling me a dumbass and all this other stuff because I posted a thread saying I was sick of being critisized. Like 18 pages of people calling me immature. And Im so doped up right now that when Im typing Im rambling... :/ I dont mean to sound mean or rude when I speak but Im very opinionated.
You should share your voice, I think you are honest and upfront. And I appreciate that!
