Breastfed babies poop less. My daughter went up to 3 days without pooping and that was normal.

Mine started doing that around that time. Does he seem constipated, like pushing? My lo's pedi told us it's normal to poop every othr day, or go 3-4 days without pooping.

Its not unheard of nor unnormal for a breastfed baby to go without pooping for up to 7 days. Their body uses a lot of the nutrients from the breast, so theres not a lot left over as waste... my son only goes poop every 4-5 days. As long as they are peeing normally and not acting like anything is wrong.. they are fine!   He does tend to get fussy on the days he's going to poop though lol

Some exclusively breastfed babies go 14 days without poop, over three months of age. Under 3 months, they should go once every few days.

Quoting I ♥ my COP:“ breastfed babies poop more.”
The first three weeks this holds true, but in the long run, they poop much less. Mine goes 11 days in between poop.

phew!! thanks ladies.

just walked downstairs and my husband was changing my sons diaper. he pooped! ha. BUT, it's green!! i read that it may be caused from my dairy intake, or not enough hindmilk. im confused. he eats for 10 (since born) on one side, and at least 5 min on the other. he has to be getting the hindmilk. so maybe it's my dairy intake??
anyone know about GREEN POOP! lol

Try not switching sides during a feeding and never time his feedings. He'll let you know when he's done.

Two week dairy elimination will let you know if it's dairy.
