Prayers definitely needed for a 5 year old little girl of a friend of mine. She had been having lots of problems with seizures and meds not helping her. Well, they took blood from her to test for a VERY rare disease called Alpers and it was gonna take like a month to get results. She got better and the dr's started thinking she did not seem to fit the Alpers pattern..well blood results came in and she has 2 mutations, therefore they diagnosed her officially with it. They told her mom if she had Alpers, she would not be alive for very long. I have not talked to her mom see what all they told her and where they go from here but before test results came in, they had told her it could mean only a few more months to live..she also has a little 3 year old and 1 year old little girl and bad thing is it could be a kind of genetic thing and they could possibly get this later on to..may end up keeping them from having anymore kids..please pray!

Working is getting more and more uncomfortable. I am a grocery checker so I stand on my feet for 5 hours (I only work part time) but my feet hurt my back hurts. I asked my dr when she is going to take me off and she said 36 weeks GRRRR I am only 23 weeks.

Hey ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much. I've got some health problems that are keeping me busy. I've been having acute gallbladder attacks and they found I have 8 gallstones. I've had 3 attacks in the last 2 weeks and each one keeps getting longer and more painful. I have an appointment Monday to meet with a surgeon and discuss my options. I'm really starting to worry because the last one was last night, only 2 days after the second attack I had. It was getting very hard for me to breathe through the pain and I'm scared something will happen to the baby with the stress my body is going through. Hopefully I will have more answers Monday but in the meantime I'm trying to eat as healthy as possible so another attack does not happen. Unfortunately for that, I have been eating healthy and there's nothing similar in the foods that have triggered the attacks. But we go back for another ultrasound on the baby Wednesday. I know he's doing good because I'm constantly feeling him kick, I'm just worried because I don't know how this is affecting him.

Congrats to all the mommies who have found out what their having and I hope everyone is doing well. I will try to keep you all updated if I find out anything more.

Don't worry too much, Momma! I had to get my gallbladder removed while I was 25 weeks pregnant with Grace; I had a stone blocking one of my ducts and Grace never missed a beat..it did not seem to affect her hardly at all. Just do what you are doing by trying to eat healthier until you find out what your options are..I don't know if they will give you option to get it removed now or if you will have to wait..my option was wait 10 weeks til I was 34 weeks along when they could deliver Grace but then they realized my situation was too risky for me and her if they waited that long..seeing as I had a stone blocking my duct..otherwise, they might give you some pain meds to help with the attacks when you have them and get you to get it removed after you have the baby. Good luck, I know how they suck! All it took was one good acute attack for me to go in to the ER and by the next day, I was getting it removed..
