Do you want to know the sex of your baby?

posted 22nd Jul '07
Hey girlies~

I got a poll question for ya... I don't know if there's been one before, but I'm curious:

How many of you want to know if you're having a boy or a girl? And how many of you don't want to know until the little tyke arrives? You can post your reasons why and maybe help those undecided to choose.

I'd really like to know so I can start calling my baby by their name.   I might find out on Monday (July 23rd).... I'm thinking it's a boy!

i HAD to know.

It would've killed me to wait lol.

Plus I like knowing it's a girl so I can call her by her name, and get her room ready.

With this being my 3rd baby i did think of maybe not finding out but who am i kidding.. im so impatient n my hubby cant go without knowing so as soon as i can find out they better tell me... i cant wait to find out. Besides that for the baby shower its just easier for people to buy things if they know the sex...

Everyone tried to talk me into waiting til birth but I hate suprises. I just wanted to know whether to buy pink or blue because I don't like the whole neutral thing.

We're blue!

For all the reasons mentioned, Yeah I had to know. I was tired of calling the baby "he or she" and I wont call my child "it", it's just so much easier to call her by her name.

I didn't find out with my first two pregnancies mainly because we wanted it to be a surprise, afterall there are few 'GREAT' surprises in life.
This time around I want to know because it's killing me not knowing. I guess then we can say we've done it both ways.

I think first babies are a nice surprise because you aren't as fussed about what sex you get, it's the following babies you have that make you more curious as you tend to want the sex you don't have. Well thats just what I think anyway.

I had my scan on Friday and the tech told me what he thought it was but he could be wrong so not to go out and decorate my nursery - so its like I think I know what my baby is but I have my doubts. I want another scan! aarrgghhh!!

For our baby I really really wanted to know but my bf didn't. So I couldn't know either but as the pregnancy went on I was fine with not knowing. When she was born it was such a great shock actually because I was CONVINCED I was having a boy. I recently said to my bf when we have our next one I wouldn't find out again. It ended up being nice to be surprised.
