probably unless you latch him on because your body is not regulated , or unless you pump at the same time each day , same amount ...

Have you seen a lactation consultant about his latch? Also, how often are you pumping? You might be over pumping which will create more milk and you will keep filling up. The more you pump at this stage the more you will make.

Relax, much as you can. It will get better. Your milk supply will level out to your LO's needs. You are probably just still engorged from your milk coming in. I am still BFing at 6 months pp and it doesn't hurt at all 99.9% of the time.

What kind of problems are you having with the latch? I have some experience.

Eventually, rather than engorging, your breasts will start only making what the baby needs.

He wont latch on period..shortly after i gave birth the lacting lady (lol) came over to help but he bairly latched on the she just suggested that I pump and feed him that way...but i pump when my breast get full.I dont want to pump too much because I dont want the breast milk to go back even though I was told its good for 48 hours.

If you freeze it in a regular freezer it is good for 3 months. And if you pump to much and some milk goes bad, you can just throw it away.

You can get him to latch on if you persist. You could PM me if you want and I could try and help you tonight. My LO is asleep. You would just have to try to get your LO to latch and I could give you pointers.

Also like someone else mentioned, go see an LC. WIC usually has free LCs and they can work wonders. That's why I'm still BFing is because of my WIC LC.

It will get better, I promise. And I wasn't trying to be pushy just wanted to help if you wanted help.

If you do decide you want help sooner, call WIC and they will let you come in right away usually if you are having BF trouble, with or without an appt.

I didn't have too many issues after that. My body just naturally softened my stool I guess because it was like super soft (tmi), and I went a couple hours after I had the baby. I was scared to go when I did but it really wasn't that bad. I tore pretty badly too, doctor wouldn't tell me how many stitches but he was stitching for a good 35-45 minutes.

You should just try to go. Just be gentle about it ya know? You will feel a lot better if you go when you've got stuff in there. I mean go give it a try, what's the worst thing that happens? You can't go or are afraid and just try again later.

The dr wouldnt tell me how many I had either but i dont think she was down there that long..I cant really remember I was out of it..lol..but Im just scared to go...But what just made me really get up and go was that my stomach was hurting yesterday like everytime I get up like if im laying down...or if the baby was laying on my chest..I also dont want them to get infected but I take showers like 2xs a day..im just really nervous about the healing process of my body.

It's normal to be nervous. Your body feels weird and way out of whack right after you give birth. Nothing feels right or the same as it used to be. It is a gradual process to recover, but you will probably start feeling more back to normal in a week or two. It just takes time. My stitches stopped hurting after about a week, and stopped itching after like 2-3 weeks.

Im starting to feel mine hurting most of the day now..they have me some ibprofen in the hospital to take home but that really dont work for me...I just hope everything is ok and they are not trying to get infected but just like you say your body feels kinda wierd after birth and I guess thats all it is.
