Nightline anyone

Anyone watching Nightline tonight? Some doctor on the show who has videos for sale demonstrating how to commit suicide with a plastic bag. This person is trying to help people who are healthy kill themselves just because they feel like dying and they are old. This is absolutely crazy. He distributes this stuff over the web like it's ok. I am sorry but a euthanasia conference etc.... this just seems messed up to me.

Ummmm assisted suicide is illegal I do believe... wow.. what a moron  

If they want to do it...... Let em, its not mine or anyone elses place to tell someone how they should live their life.

Not sure if they are paying for it or not, either way I think it is terrible.

Here are the laws by state

I think it should be legal. I might get some shit for thinking this.
But I would much rather be able to push a button to kill myself if I was a vegetable than make my family see me like that, and pay for me to be like that, it would be a waste of food water hospital/nursing home rooms.

I completely Agree with you...

I have taken care of too many patients who have been in horrendous shape and wanted to die... Or Patients who were DNRs (Do Not Recessitate) and their families override their wishes because of power of attorneys or other reasons (mental capacities)

  I would want to die in that situation. I think my family would suffer far less if I were to die versus them sitting around waiting on me to wake up or get better. We have a friend that got into an accident. He was in acoma for a while, but he woke up and it now bound to a wheelchair. He had always said that he would want his family to pull the plug. They didn't. He can't do anything for himself. He is in a wheel chair, has to wear diapers, has to be fed, and can hardly talk. I know this man and I can only imagine how embarassed/unhappy he is to be in his situation.
