Ihave a preemie. She was 28 weeks.

Maybe it's just me but I thought this was kind of petty and people took her words waay out of context.

They say pre-e makes the baby smaller. They have that Dre was 3 lb 11 oz on his birth certificate bc thats supposedly what they recorded at birth, but he dropped down to 2 lbs 5 oz the next dayso all the nicu nurses and my husband and I think it was 2 lbs 11 oz, so thats what I say lol....3 lbs 11 ozis too big for 28 weeks lol, thats almost 4 lbs lol.

Really? I didn't know that. She was 2 lbs 9 ozs at birth and the next day she was 2 lbs 4 ozs. Yeah I think he was 2 lbs 11 ozs lol I couldn't imagine an almost4 lb 28 weeker. He would have been like 15 lbs at birth lol

Yea my daughter was 4 lbs 6 oz, which I thought seemed normal for a 34.6 weeker but they told me she was smaller bc of the pre-e and said that most pre-e babies are smaller bc the pre-e makes it where they cant be supplied with what they need to grow.
My daughter is another reason I think he was 2 lbs 11 oz too since she was 4 lbs 6 oz at 34.6 weeks lol. I wish they wouldnt have put him on the birth certificate.....even if they did though, he was still an oz too big to get ssi lol.

Wow that sucks! We get ssi and it is a huge help. I was going to stay home with her anyway but things were going to be tight. The ssi made it so much better.

I can still have an opinion and I still don't think her remarks are appropriate.

Yea I wished we would have got it atleast for a couple months...we had Dreydon in the middle of moving so he was 2 1/1 hours away from where we lived, and it was a lot of gas money, extra food money, and just a lot of expenses that we didnt count on having. We are military and they ended up telling us we could have used a government issued vehicle and got a gas card but they told us when Dreyden was home lol. Go figure.

Wow I wouldn't have been able to handle Bella being that far away.We lived 10 mins away andI thought that was horrible!
