My SO and I finnaly talked about it and he said he is very ready to start trying to concieve baby #2. im so excited !!

But here is my question. . . We would like to have a boy, and im NOT sure if i believe in all those myths about "choosing" the sex of your baby lol. But who cares, Whats the BEST way to have a boy? lmao. anyone know??

I have heard have sex at the last min. Meaning the day before, and the day of ovulation. Cause supposedly boy spermies swim faster. I dont really believe it, cause we had sex the day before and day of ovulation and I have a girl. But maybe that one sperm was on a mission. haha

Well since your trying for a boy, you can use ovulation test. You can buy them at the store. Anyways they can sorta predict your ovulation 24-48 hours in advance. Just depends on when you catch your LH surge. I think taking your temperature is more effective on figuring out your ovulation, that is more time consuming though.

taking my temperature ? lol im lost. i think im really going to have to research this lol

check out fertilityfriend.com its about about taking your temperature. It can pin point ovulation. I mean the average is 14 days after your period starts, but mine was 12-14 days. A basel body thermometer takes your temp like a regular one but regular ones look like this (98.6) basel body ones look like this (98.64) that makes a difference when tracking ovualtion. Your body temp can drop when your about to ovulate, and spike the day of or after. You can tell though the day you ovualted. Most women who have trouble concieving use this to know the exact date they ovulate.

Use positions with deep penetration, when I got pregnant with my son my DH and I used doggy style and this time I am pregnant with a girl, we used missionary position.

Use one of those "chineese predictors" or w.e

Well thats why I dont think you can try for a certain sex.

Oh I totally agree with you. A nurse at my OB's told me that you can pick your gender though, she has ALL boys (5) so she is doing some procedure that will allow her to have a girl! I was like REALLY????

Well I think you can have a procedure done, where they find the girl sperm, and only use those. But thats expensive.

that's so awesome!!! We are trying too!! Last time it took me 7 years, so hopefully this time it will happen soon.
