Contest??

I have never made a contest and im so interested in making one... Is there anything I should know if I make one?
Like i dont know how to put pictures up for voting... how do u do that?? Help please

First you can think of the rules you want to use. Here are some examples:

1. Post only ONE picture please
2. Post 2 pictures
3. Recent pictures only
4. No professional or edited photos
5. Age limit ??
6. Post name and age
7. No chatting/talking


Then set a time you will close entries and go to voting.

For voting I usually leave the entry thread open and then open a new web page of BG to start the voting thread. All you need to do is right click on the picture, select 'properties', and copy and past the http//: code into the "image" bar in your voting thread.

Be sure you get ALL the contests and spell their names right (parents don't like their kiddos name's spelled wrong lol). Then I always go back and double check that I didn't give two kiddos the same number.

For voting I always set a specific date/time to close, either one or two days, and I never count the votes til end, that way you can't be watching the votes and just keep asking for more until the kid you want to win has enough votes. Not that you would do that, but it keeps other mommas from wondering if you cheated.

In voting you can set rules too like,

1. Vote for x amount of people only
2. Vote with numbers only
3. No chatting/talking
etc.

When you post the winners it's nice if you make siggies or have someone else do it for you, so they feel special  

For a first contest I'd recommend taking 10-15 entries max to make it easier on yourself.
