Historectomy

Wanting to know mommas out there that have had a traditional historectomy not the scope.

what was recovery?

I am having one in Nov and nervous I havehttp://www.mayoclinic.com/health/Adenomyosis/DS00636
and have fought to have my kids
and the time is here.

Just want all info from those who have been there,

My mom had one when I was in middle school, it took her all of summer vacation to heal completely.

hmm i know my mom had both overys and one faloupin tube removed.. she had cycts the size of a soft ball.. her recovery was so so.. shes heavy set so one half of her insicision didnt close properly.. and they had to cortarize ( i think) it .. like burn it closed. it took a good 2 months for her to be feeling any better.. then again shes heavy set so its easier for thinner ppl


eta- moms surgery was last year

I haven't, but my mother did. It took her about3 weeks.She had it due to cancer.

you'll be fine! surgery isnt a walk thru the park and i think my mom took it VERY well!!!

ya that is my wonder. I cant have the scope like most do these days.
but my C sec was diff this time so I am thinking maybe 6 weeks at most

My MIL had one and she said she would of done it a 100x over. So it must not of been to bad. She had 3 csections so for her she kind of new what to expect in a way.

um oh I don't remember lol I'm 23 now and I was probably 13 or 14? But she didn't have the scope and thats what the OP was asking about.

ya I talked to my MIL who had it 6 months ago so now way freakin out. she said it was horrible. though she never had a C sec and I had 3 so will that be worse for me or the same. hhmmmm
