I hate unpacking too Emma! It sucks!

We're back from the doctors. We saw the PA since it was such short notice. Which I don't mind, the PA's seem to listen a lot more and explain in depth when you ask questions lol.

She thinks it's the flu...but they aren't swabbing any more unless someone you live with is pregnant, or already have a compromised immune system. Austin's ears are fine...so the tubes are obviously working. BUT he has pneumonia.   So he's getting antibiotics for that, breathing tx's every 4 hours, if he isn't improving by tomorrow she said to go ahead and start the prednisone. And if his fever is still present in two days or he's gotten much worse we have to go to the ER. Booo.

So Alex is home still, but seems much better than Austin and I. Ashley woke up and said her whole body hurt. So I am sure she will be home tomorrow as well.

The PA suggested that Austin and I get the vaccine once we are better since we are high risk due to asthma. So I asked her....once we have already had the flu we can still get it again? Then she told me about a study that was done on college students who contracted H1N1 in the spring. Then also got H1N1 again, so apparently it is mutating. She said some coverage with the vaccine might be better than none.And I def. do not want him to get pneumonia again. So Im kind of torn as what to do now.

sorry it was a book haha....usually I have my husband to tell all this stuff too hehe

Wow Jen, that doesn't sound fun at all. Ill be saying some prayers for you guys, hope you guys get all better.

The Battalion that was processing at the Soldier Readiness Center at Ft. Hood was one of the ones that's supposed to replace D.

My heart hurts big time. Poor soldiers and their families. Ughhhhh... makes me sick.

I know there's been some drama with her, but I immediately thought of Kaila when I saw it on the news...she lives there

I didn't know she was still there, I thought she had moved. I'm glad her K are ok.

That's so scary, I can't imagine what she was feeling. Ugh, it's so freaking scary.

When we had the huge earthquake here in '94, I was alone and remember holding the cats in the doorway of my closet, terrified to even move because it was pitch black out, and there was no power for several days. I hate that kind of helpless feeling  

I agree, Amy. Kaila pisses me off to no end but she was one of the first people I thought of. That would be so scary. Nobody should ever have to go through that especially with their child/children.

Exactly..it's moments like that when I'm able to take the gloves off and realize the enormity of what they must be dealing with
