bite him back. No joke. My german shepherd was horrible at biting. nothing we did helped. so one day she bit me hard, and i bit her on the ear. she never bit anyone after that.

You should try hitting his nose and shoving a toy in his mouth, lol. Or you can even hold his mouth shut when he bites and tell him no. Puppies hate that.

he's a puppy..my sister's shepherd would do the same (like any other pup) so they just smacked him when he did that and then gave him a teething stick that he was supposed to be biting. He eventually figured it out and just bit up the stick.... it'll stop in a few months when he's not teething so bad

Thats what puppies to at first so you need to provide plenty of chew toys and bones and make sure they have plenty of activity like running or playing. Try using a squirt bottle when he bites

pull slightly on his collar, tell him no, and give him a toy.. He wont just catch on the first day, it will take time..

Hell yah it worked.. because you treated him the way a bigger dog wouldve. The main problem people have with training dogs is treating them like people. You want your dog to view you as the "Pack Leader". If this means biting him back, go for it.

OP you have to get this under control now before your baby does get hurt. IDK how many nasty face bites i see in babies your age bc they are exactly the height of the dog thats not in control. Also at the ER (in my state) we are required to call the police when that happens, something u definitely want to avoid.

dont do anything just yet...hes only a month old which would mean hes not even 5 weeks old...i dont get how he can run and bite much that age...
we have a husky lab - we got him when he was 5 weeks old he could barly walk..not to mention people arent really supposed to give away puppys under 8weeks...
anyway - he is too young to fully understand everything - if you really want to know something about this you could try contacting a dog trainer in your area...
he/she is probably teething...our bit a lot too until he was about 8-9weeks old...then it got less and less...he is now almost a year old and he still SOMETIMES likes to "nibble" on our hands - he doesnt bite at all, but he enjoys chewing on it very softly...i guess it soothes him or something

but really - a one month old dog barly knows that hes not supposed to pee/poop in the house...

also - you can try biting back as the first replier said - it sounds stupid, but it works! lol
