My son cries....

posted 14th Sep
Everytime we change his diaper. He isn't hurting we asked his doctor. Sometimes he's quiet if the vaccum is on or he's alseep other than that he screams like i'm killing him and then I pick him up and he's fine. Amyone else have this problem?

My daughter cried like that until she was 3-4mos old. She hated having her diaper changed. I swear it felt like I was hurting her, but she just didn't to be fussed with.

A lot of Little ones really really hate diaper changes!!
They scream Bloody Murder, they think it's because of the temperature change between the diaper & free air.
Only way to see if it's something else is to let him go diaper less & see if he keeps crying for too long, but then it could also just be he got used to the temperature change, so it's also not reliable as a gauge for if it's something else!

That's what my doctor said he just doesn't like to be bothered and also cause he was born early and in the hospital for 2 weeks on oxygen and every diaper change they were doing something to him like giving him a shot fixing his IV or sticking his foot etc. so he said since i wasn't able to be with him for those first weeks he might feel that diaper time means needle time but idk

have you tried making it the most enjoyable for him? ie. warm wipes, making sure hes not cold, hes on a comfy surface etc. ???

gosh i think its hilarious how everytime someone makes a post about their LO crying in certain situations and people instinctively say cholic. cholic babies cry all the time! thats the point, you dont know whats wrong with them, you obviously know your LO has something wrong with getting his diaper changed. i thinks its silly to worry mamas by screaming cholic every chance they can   so no worries mama, youll figure out what it is im sure

Yeah I know he's not colic because he is fine after he eats and once his diaper is changed and he is picked up he's totally fine and just smiles or looks around or sleeps but once he gets put down it's like a cry button is hit lol very rarely does he not cry. I do warm wipeys, washcloths, and make sure I have everything ready before hand so it's quick, lol.

He probably just doesnt like to be taken out of his warm little blankie and being so comfy. I wouldnt worry about it. My son did the same thing. He also hated bath time so I had to start putting him in the bath with me and just hold him the whole time.

My daughter does that too. She mostly does it when we change her clothes. It's being cold for her I think.

Wow I am never on here anymore. I just seen this lol. Yes it was a good experience. He started to loove bath time after that and I eventually got him back into his own tub but I would put it in the bathroom, inside our big tub and make sure the door was closed to it would stay warm and steamy in there. I had to bathe him with me to keep him from screaming the whole time.. he was so tiny no wonder why he hated to be cold lol. He had no meat on his bones.
Not the case now though. You say bath and he goes RUNNING for the tub! hahaha
