yeah i refused the downs one. my mom was saying that i should get it done "just in case"... im like what? shes like well your not gunna keep it then right? i was like WTF! yes, im still keeping him! ugh.
my son wasnt planned but in not gunna kill him if he has something.. id try my hardest to take care of him..

Thank you for the notes - my husband and I watched the utube video and cried once again.. (our life lately)

My youngest son has trisomy 18 and there is a whole community of families at www.trisomyonline.orgwho will understand exactly how you feel and what ou are going through.

I am so sorry.

I just lost my son to Trisomy 18. I was going to induce early but laws in louisiana didnt alow it after 22 weeks. Because I had never heard of t18 I did a heart scan on the baby just for the closer that I knew for a fact he wouldnt make it . Well after my tests I was to for long to induce in Louisiana. So we decided to go full term. it was so hard knowing he wasnt going to live I would feel him kicking inside like he had nothing wrong. we did ultrasounds every 2 weeks. My waterbroke on wed sept.2 and sept. 5  I delivered my son Brayden Michael Bundy 3lbs 15inches. He passed away during labor. We didnt even hear him cry! The drs. were so right. Its hard to belive  them. Its hard to think it can happen to you. Trust me dont listen to know one who has not  been threw it. they have NO idea!! I also said I would never get the test done Never do amnio But trust me when its life of death and It happens to you You will get it done!! Never say never cause it always come back to bite you in the butt!  If you have any questions please ask I just went threw this. Brayden is only 11 days old and we miss him soo much. I wish I could of induce early not to put him in pain for as long as I did. Dont get me wrong I love his kicks But I ask myself was he moving in pain/?  No  matter which way you go its hurts like hell!! I cry everyday all day. People say it gets easier with time I sure hope so cause i just have this empty feeling inside .I even questioned God why me  why did you take my son??  I know it was for the best hes would of suffered if he didlive. 

Very very good friend of mine, at age 19 they found out her baby had Trisomy 18 because on the gender sonogram, the baby had a diaphramatic hernia, and they did some more testing and her Amnio came back as Trisomy 18. She decided not to induce, and only went to I believe 23 weeks or so.
She woke up one night and couldn't breath at all. There was so much amniotic fluid because the baby's kidneys weren't working anymore. They did 2 amnio reductions and no go, so she ended up at that point being induced
Her baby lived for 3 minutes.

my little girl erin rose was born with trisomy 18, we did not know that she had this syndorme until she was born we were told that there was nothing that could be done for her and that she wouldn't live long, we took her home and she lived for 9wks she died in march 09. We miss her very much. I am currently 10wks pregnant and as you can imagine very nervous about everything. I am so sorry about what is happening to you and wish you luck and happiness for the future.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I haven't dealt with Trisomny 18 personally, but I do believe some of the moms in at least one of the support groups i belong to on facebook have.

I had a daughter who had anencephaly which is 100% fatal, so I know how it is to lose a child. and i know a lot of anen moms who chose to induce early.
