Calling all Home Birth Mommies!!

My best friend and former college roomate is pregnant. She is due 5 weeks before me, her sister lives now lives in FL, and the other 2 from our inner circle of friends live in upstate NY and getting time off from their job at the same time is impossible. Today she asked me to be a part of her home birth!

I feel so honored because again like I mentioned her sister won't get to be there, we have been best-friends since the moment we met before college and she's even asked her mom not to attend because they both agree her mother would be a nervous wreck mucking up the easy and relaxed vibes she wants....so it's the SO, the midwife, her assistant, and me!  Although I have two kids this will be the first birth I will get to be a part of &experience so it's a BIG DEAL for me.

I wanted to know if there is anything I can do for her to help make it more special.

not sure but experiencing a birth is amazing  

Take pictures, get her water, fruit slices, but just try to stay out of the way unless she asks you to do anything so she can focus on giving birth in a peacful atmosphere
